A classic large Antiqie Heriz c.1920’s. The brick red field with an indigo and ivory flowerhead and lozenge pole medallion and all over floral foliate and palmette designs enclosed by a shaded palmette meandering border. Some white spots, which would have been where the yarn broke and was started with new wool, quite common in antique handmade rugs. Some minor colour run in places associated with vegetable dye colours, and minimal wear in places. All over, a rug in good condition for its age.
