A mahogany bachelors chest of good colour, with the French polish removed leaving a matt finish. Rectangular top with moulded edge above two short over three long drawers. With reeded canted sides and raised on ogee bracket feet. These are either a replacement for the original ones, or for a more conventional bracket foot. The brass hardware is also later. In good overall condition with splits to the original pine back panels. Drawers and brush slide moving easily. A handwritten receipt is included, suggesting the previous owners purchased it from an Antique dealer in 1982 for the sum of £535
