A mid 20th century large Keshan room size carpet. Of typical design for this a region, the carpet has a central medallion set within deep navy ground covered in palmettes and rosettes with meandering vines. Coroner spandrel panels carrying the Herati design, with multiple band border of reds and blues. The overall condition of the rug is very good, save for a circa 3cm separation at one end between the carpet and the tassels - this is shown clearly in the last picture. Not noticeable when the carpet is down, and could possibly be patched if a dab hand with needle and thread. Overall, a good floor covering for the money.
