A heavy and substantial French walnut buffet or side cupboard, dating to the late 18th century. Warm and rich colour, with floral and other decorative carvings to the doors, which open to a black interior with a later pine intermediate shelf. The piece retains its original panelled back and ironwork, although the key and drawer handles have been replaced at some point. Historical worm damage, treated many times previously and also by us. A wonderful provincial French piece.
