A beautiful oak country bookcase on bureau dating from the late 1700’s. The bureau section with two short over two long drawers with slightly layer brass handles and plates, raised on bracket feet. The drop down section opening to fitted interior of drawers, secret slide and pigeon holes. The top section with moulded cornice above two panelled doors opening to an interior of adjustable shelving and pigeon holes with domed friezes. Two sliding trays, most likely for candles as illustrated. In overall very good condition for age, with exceptional colour, feet replaced. Working lock and key.
