A large country house Welsh oak housekeepers cupboard from the late 1700’s. A fixed stepped cornice atop single panelled doors flanked by reeded pilasters with embellishments. Opening to three fitted shelves internally, key present. Raised on a chest base, consisting of two short over two long drawers, with ivory escutcheons. Turned wooden handles with mother of pearl and centred with sunbursts. Raised on bracket feet. Generally good order throughout, some shrinkage splits, notably to doors and one back panel. Drawers all run smoothly, good colour and lovely piece of country furniture. In two parts.
