A pair of indistinctly signed and dated 1835 French oil on canvas portraits of a young boy and girl, probably siblings. With a crimson curtain behind, the sitters are pictured in conservative dress, with minimal facial expression, but nonetheless captivating.  The canvas was in poor condition and very dirty, so much so that the portraits were barely visible. We have professionally cleaned and restored them, and left them in their later gilt rococo style frames which work well.
