A large and well executed restored oil on canvas. Stretched over board and framed with ornate gilt vintage frame. The subject matter of a painter in his studio exhibiting his work to two male and one female admirers who appear to be either appraising or critiquing. The writing when searched appears to refer to something in a Bavarian newspaper dating to 1866. The fashion on display makes this entirely plausible as to origin and age. Indistinctly signed. In good order having been restored.
