A large Swedish Gustavian style chest of drawers, in old crimson paint, with black painted top. Traces of historic stencilling underneath the pleasing patina, giving an indication of age to the piece. Curiously, the top two drawers have an escutcheon but no key aperture and no sign of there ever being handles or pulls! All drawers open well. Possibly later feet, but this is not clear. Overall a very pleasing piece with good, dry finish.
