A superb and excellent quality 20th century Qum area carpet. Situated between Tehran and Kashan, rug making is essentially a recent (last one hundred years) introduction to the region. It has quickly gained a reputation for really high quality rugs. Identifiable by its vivid colours, and three band border with the central band taking its motif from the main ground design. High quality would that almost has a silk-feel to it, the carpet is in excellent condition having kids been washed.
