A good quality Regency period Mahogany linen press. A separate ovolo and cavetto moulded cornice above twin doors each with a shallow bow fronted and scrollwork topped altar plinth in Egyptianising taste. The interior fitted with three slides; the lower section with two short over two long drawers with turned knob handles, raised on plinth base. Indiatinct pencil signature to the underside of a slide, with makers stamp on the internal base and underneath of a slide. All slides and drawers with their original green sugar paper linings, definitely a maker of excellent quality. Key turns lock but does not quite engage in to lock, although doors close and all drawers slide with ease. Outstanding piece of furniture.
