This is a very large, ornate Syrian mother of pearl mirror dating to the late 19th/early 20th century.  With an intricately carved frame featuring a lattice and floral motif. The frame inlaid with mother-of-pearl—forming elegant geometric and floral patterns. The top of the mirror is crowned with an elaborate pointed arch design, giving it a regal, almost architectural presence reminiscent of Indo-Mughal or Moroccan craftsmanship. Some losses to the mother of pearl as shown, historical repair to the pediment, but a beautifully decorative mirror and of a rare scale.
