A fine quality late 18th century flame mahogany clothes or linen press. The stepped dental cornice sits on top of the cupboard with two panelled doors mounted with roundals enclosing all six original sliding trays. Most unusually, the rule joint hinge of the doors allow the trays to slide out and rest perfectly on the fitted runners to the inside face of the door leafs. The bottom section comprising of two short over two long drawers, the quality of this piece extending to the mahogany drawer linings and bases. Finely detailed bronze handles, with pierced back plates, to all faces. Raised on ogee bracket feet and also period brass castors. With original panelled back. In good overall order, very minor marks in places, outstanding colour.
